PNBR or powdered nitrile rubber
PNBR or powdered nitrile rubber is actually a type of NBR that is used in similar and sometimes different sectors than NBR in the industry. PNBR is used in automotive parts such as hoses, cables and belts, O-rings and seals, and other molded and extruded products. Nitrile Butadiene Rubber Powder is widely used as an adhesive, sealant and PVC modifier to form modified plastics with high impact and wear resistance. Applications of Nitrile Butadiene Rubber (NBR) powder in industry are for PVC modification, automotive, construction, footwear, consumer goods and other applications including gloves, food processing and textile coatings. NBR/PVC compounds are homogeneous mixtures of butadiene and acrylonitrile copolymer with PVC that use stabilizers. NBR/PVC blends are recommended for applications that require good resistance to the elements and organic liquids such as aliphatic oils and non-polar solvents.
